There is a children’s and adult swimming Pool, which the apartment overlooks. Positioned in a peaceful area, short walk from Tomas Mesatre, which is full of restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

A car is essential if you would like to explore further afield, if you just want a quiet beach holiday it is not necessary.
Facilities near by: a sailing school, golf course, supermarkets, restaurants, car hire, quad bike hire, cycle hire, fishing and lots of beaches.
Cycling Trips
The owner runs cycling trips aimed at all levels, tailer made to your requirements, it is the best way to explore the local area, July and August is not a time I would recommend these trips because of the heat. How easy can it be! Just phone for the bike and they will be delivered straight to your apartment, daily rates are reasonable and they include a helmet and lock.

Local activities
There are various Beaches, including the one in front of your apartment, which stretches for miles. Other beaches which are worth a visit include Calablanque, it is an amazing unspoiled beach, rolling hills are its back drop which take form as a completely undeveloped national park. The sands are golden and completely uncommercialised, there is not even a restaurant or toilets, its very popular with the Spanish, and it is huge so never gets busy. It is a 25 minute drive away.

The climate conditions of the Mar Menor, with high numbers of hours of sun per year and its high salinity, have brought about the deposit, over the centuries, of clays for therapeutic treatment in various areas on your doorstep in the Mar Menor. Getting there
On leaving Murcia airport (San Javier), at the main exit of the airport, you will come to a roundabout go straight accross. Follow along thos road until you come to another roundabout, straight accross, and follow under a underpass.
The next roundabout after the underpass turn of exit for Cartagena N332.
Continue along this road for approx 10 minutes, then turn off at Junction marked Elgar- La Manga MU -312. Be careful when you merge onto next road as there is no slip road, so stop and look left. You will continue over a bridge and head for motorway leading into La Manga.
The motorway will take you straight into La Manga, there are lots of traffic lights and speed bumps. The motorway will continue past a very tall thin monument with a large white ball on the top, this is the beginning of La Manga. The road is called the Gran Via. Continue on this road for another 20mins, and you will eventually cross a large grey bridge with a modern look-out tower. (The bridge lifts up daily in order for boats to pass under).
Turn your first right after the bridge, this is the road of the apartment. The apartment block is the last one on the left end side. Park outside Puerto Escondido II and enter the main white gates.
