Only a 2 minute walk away you will find Calanova Golf Club, and a 5 minute drive brings you to the charming village of La Cala, with it’s authentic Spanish ambience, numerous restaurants & shops and it’s stunning, blue flag, sandy beaches to enjoy. There are 6 swimming pools and landscaped tropical gardens with brand new sunbeds for you to relax in at Calanova. Only a 20 minute drive from Malaga airport, and a short drive from Marbella & Puerto Banus, means you are ideally situated for touring this beautiful area of Andalucia.

Bedrooms
The airy master bedroom has sliding doors leading directly to the terrace, giving beautiful views, and ample wardrobe space. The designer, leather headboarded beds can be configured as a super-king sized double , or two single beds as required, and there is an ensuite, marble tiled bathroom.
The second bedroom has twin designer beds with leather headboards, ample wardrobe space and has the use of a second shower room.
A 5th person can sleep on our huge, comfortable leather sofa in the living room.
Bathrooms
The main shower room is fully tiled in stunning marble, complete with marble vanity unit with inset sink, wc, huge mirror & designer taps.
The ensuite bathroom , also marble tiled & with vanity unit, large mirror & designer taps, is complete with wc, bidet, bath & overbath shower.
Living room
The open plan dining/lounge area has a lovely light, airy feel, with it’s cream marble floor, sliding glass doors leading to the terrace, and floaty cream curtains. The comfortable L shaped leather settee, and dining chairs add a touch of luxury, whilst the quality modern dark wood furniture, is both functional and stylish. The room is complemented by original abstract paintings and a large mirror to reflect the fantastic views. There is a modern LCD tv with satellite to give most English & Spanish channels and a cd/dvd player to make you feel at home on those occasional nights in. There is air conditioning & central heating to all rooms.
Kitchen
The modern fitted kitchen has a marble worktop, quality SMEG integrated appliances, an inset ceramic hob and is equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer and everything you need to create your home from home. The open breakfast bar leads into the dining area.
Other rooms
The spacious, terracotta tiled terrace has a secluded shady area for those who do not like the full sun, and a sunny open area with glass fencing to take advantage of the stunning views. It is equipped with a large round table and chairs and is perfect for dining al fresco. You can eat breakfast whilst the sun rises over the Mediterranean, and watch the golf , or keep an eye on the swimming pool area in the gardens below. What better place to take advantage of the balmy evenings with a glass of local wine or sangria, and survey the softly lit gardens.
Description of amenities
Your beds will be made up with lightweight duvets and matching linen, and co-ordinated towels are supplied. There is no extra charge for linen or electricity. Please bring your own swimming towels, dvds and cds.
Suitability
The beautiful swimming pools, including childs paddling pool, secure, gated gardens and proximity to the lovely sandy beach at La Cala make our apartment perfect for families with children.
Golfers will be in paradise! We are adjacent to the prestigious 18 hole Calanova Golf Club, and there are numerous other golf courses in the area.
Couples will love the relaxing, peaceful ambience, the uncrowded pools and beautiful beaches and the climate with over 320 days of sunshine a year. Ideal for touring the 161kms of coastline, and visiting the well known marinas & shopping areas of Marbella, Puerto Banus and Estepona.
Local activities
- Restaurants abound – In La Cala itself you could eat at a different one every night and still not try them all
- There are numerous tourist attractions within minutes of Calanova, including water park at Fuengirola (10 mins drive), Tivoli World theme park nr Benalmadena and best of all – free to use , on the beach at La Cala there is a wooden pirate ship with slide, climbing bars & ropes etc , as well as a gym/work out area for adults.
- Several stables & equestrian centres for lessons and trekking in the mountains – the nearest is 5 mins away.
- Golf – you are in Golf Valley & will be spoilt of rchoice of different courses.
- Zoo at Fuengirola, and wildlife park at Monte Selwo (45mins drive)
- Fishing & watersports are available all along the coast.
- Ski-ing is available in winter in the Sierra Nevada, about 2 hours drive away.
- Shopping – La Cala has a good range of local shops & banks including a supermarket, newsagents , hardware & saddlers . On Wednesdays there is a local market at La Cala. Fuengirola boasts a huge range of shops including a large, Mall at Myramar. For designer shops try Marbella & Puerto Banus.

The price includes all electricity, linen & towels, and stays of 1 week or more include a welcome pack. Discount available for stays of 2 weeks or more. Short breaks and long winter stays considered – please contact the owner.
25% deposit is required on booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the holiday commences.
A refundable £150 breakages deposit is required with the final payment.
We accept all major credit/debit cards. A 2.75% charge will be levied on credit cards ( not applicable to debit cards)
Payments may be made by bank transfer in sterling or euros.
Getting there
Fly to Malaga airport. Numerous cheap flights available eg: Easyjet, BMI, Ryanair.
From the airport approximately 25 min drive to La Cala De Mijas, then follow signs to Calanova Golf Club.
Full instructions & map will be sent with booking.
Our friendly local agent will meet you as you leave the main coast road and escort you to Calanova, or by arrangement will meet you at the airport (small extra charge will apply)
